Splattered & Plattered

There's a good story behind this graphic design piece, other than the fact that I was stressed and needed to make something to completely decompress from the stress I've been under lately.

When I was a kid, my grandma used to sometimes answer phone by saying, "Roadkill Restaurant, you splatter 'em we platter 'em." Clearly, this is a genius idea for a t-shirt. It's a shame I don't have actual money to open a place under this name, but if nothing else it makes me nostalgic for my time with her as a child, and the screenprinted feel only adds to that old time diner illusion.

My only hope is that she's reading this post, smiling down on me and proud of me for all I have accomplished as a designer in the past year.
